Ingredients
For the Apple Pie Dip:
-
3 medium Gala apples (or any firm, sweet apples), peeled and diced
-
2 tbsp unsalted butter
-
1/4 cup brown sugar
-
1 tsp cinnamon
-
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
-
1 tsp lemon juice
-
1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (to make slurry)
For the Cinnamon Sugar Chips:
-
6 small flour tortillas
-
2 tbsp melted butter
-
1/4 cup granulated sugar
-
1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Make the apple dip: In a medium skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and vanilla. Cook for 6–8 minutes until apples are tender.
-
Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for another 1–2 minutes, until thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.
-
Prepare the chips: Brush both sides of each tortilla with melted butter. Cut into triangles and arrange on the baking sheet.
-
Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle evenly over tortilla wedges.
-
Bake chips for 10–12 minutes or until golden and crisp. Let them cool slightly—they’ll crisp more as they cool.
-
Serve the warm apple pie dip with fresh cinnamon chips for dipping!
Notes
-
Use firm apples like Gala, Honeycrisp, or Fuji for the best texture.
-
Feel free to double the chips—they’re seriously addictive!
-
Add a pinch of nutmeg or allspice to the apples for extra fall flavor.
-
The dip can be made ahead and gently reheated before serving.
-
Leftover dip? Spoon it over pancakes, oatmeal, or vanilla ice cream!
