It’s bold, fresh, and totally irresistible—aka your new taco night essential.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • ¼ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp chili powder

  • ¼ tsp ground cumin

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional but flavorful!)

  • 1 tsp hot sauce (or to taste)

  • Salt, to taste

  • Optional: 1–2 tsp chipotle in adobo for smoky heat

Instructions

  • Mix the Base
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and sour cream or yogurt until smooth.

  • Add Flavor
Stir in lime juice, garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, and hot sauce.

  • Taste & Adjust
Add salt to taste and more lime juice or spice if desired.

  • Chill (Optional)
For best flavor, refrigerate 15–30 minutes to let the flavors meld. Serve cold or at room temp.

Notes

  • Use full-fat mayo and sour cream for the richest texture

  • Make it lighter: Use Greek yogurt or avocado in place of some mayo

  • Love spice? Add chipotle in adobo or cayenne pepper

  • Don’t skip the lime! Fresh juice makes a big difference
