- 4 large croissants
- 8 slices of deli ham
- 8 slices of cheese
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the croissants in half lengthwise, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- In a small bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and honey (if using).
- Spread a generous amount of the Dijon-mayo mixture on the inside of each croissant half.
- Layer 2 slices of ham on the bottom half of each croissant.
- Place 2 slices of cheese on top of the ham.
- Close the croissant by folding the top half over the bottom half, pressing gently to secure the filling inside.
- In a small bowl, beat the egg to create an egg wash.
- Brush the egg wash over the top of each croissant.
- Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper over the top of each croissant.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the assembled croissants on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the croissants cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet.
- Transfer the croissants to a serving platter.
- Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the top.
- Serve warm, with a side of your favorite dipping sauce or a simple salad.

- Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese, such as Gruyère or provolone.
- You can add herbs or spices to the filling for extra flavor.
