  • Author: Lily
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Description

These beef sliders are a crowd-pleaser, featuring juicy patties topped with melted American cheese, fresh lettuce, pickles, and a tangy special sauce, all served in soft slider buns. Perfect for gatherings and easy to make!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 12 slider buns
  • 6 slices of American cheese, halved
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Use your hands to mix the ingredients until they are well combined, but be careful not to overwork the meat.
  2. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and then flatten it into a patty that is slightly larger than the slider buns, as they will shrink while cooking.
  3. Place the patties on a plate or tray and cover them with plastic wrap. Let them rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, white vinegar, and sugar. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  5. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  6. Cover the sauce and refrigerate it until you are ready to assemble the sliders.
  7. Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat. If you’re using a grill, oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  8. Once hot, place the beef patties on it. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side without moving them.
  9. Flip the patties and immediately place half a slice of American cheese on each one. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.
  10. Toast the slider buns cut-side down on the grill or in a separate skillet for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Place the bottom half of each toasted slider bun on a serving platter.
  12. Spread a generous amount of the special sauce on each bottom bun.
  13. Place a beef patty with melted cheese on top of the sauce on each bun.
  14. Add shredded lettuce, diced pickles, and diced onions on top of each patty.
  15. Place the top half of the slider bun on each assembled slider.
  16. Arrange the assembled sliders on a large platter or serving tray.
  17. Serve warm, and enjoy! If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the special sauce.
