Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 large flour tortillas or wraps
- 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup croutons (optional, for crunch)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Ensure every shrimp is well-coated with the seasoning.
- Let the shrimp marinate for about 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld beautifully.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
- Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside to cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce and halved cherry tomatoes.
- Add the Caesar dressing and toss until well coated.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the salad and toss gently. Add croutons if desired.
- Lay a flour tortilla flat on a clean surface.
- Place a generous scoop of the Caesar salad mixture in the center, leaving space at the edges.
- Add a few cooked shrimp on top of the salad.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla inwards, then roll from the bottom up, tucking in the filling as you go.
- Repeat for the remaining tortillas and filling.
- Cut each wrap in half diagonally for presentation. Secure with a toothpick if desired.
- Arrange on a serving platter and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
- Serve with extra Caesar dressing on the side for dipping.
Notes
- Customize the salad ingredients by adding avocado, cucumbers, or bacon bits for extra flavor.
- For a smoky flavor, skewer the shrimp and grill them on a barbecue instead of pan-frying.
