Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup diced pickles
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the diced onions and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Drain any excess fat from the skillet to avoid greasy eggrolls.
- Season the beef mixture with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Add the diced pickles, ketchup, and mustard to the beef mixture, stirring until well combined.
- Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted slightly.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing towards you (diamond shape).
- Place 2-3 tablespoons of the cheeseburger filling in the center of the wrapper.
- Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water to help seal it.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll tightly towards the top corner, pressing edges to seal.
- Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling until all are assembled.
- In a large, deep skillet or pot, pour enough oil to submerge the eggrolls (about 2-3 inches deep) and heat over medium-high until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully place a few eggrolls in the hot oil, avoiding overcrowding. Fry in batches if necessary.
- Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy, using tongs to turn gently.
- Remove from oil and place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Repeat frying process with remaining eggrolls.
- Arrange the eggrolls on a serving platter.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, or creamy ranch dressing.
Notes
- Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to achieve a crispy texture.
- Feel free to customize the filling with your favorite cheeseburger toppings!
