  • Author: Joy
  • Total Time: 190 minutes
  • Yield: 20 truffles 1x

Description

Enjoy these luscious Orange White Chocolate Truffles, featuring a creamy ganache infused with fresh orange zest and juice, all encased in a glossy candy coating. Ideal for celebrations or a sweet indulgence at home!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest (freshly grated)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange-flavored candy coating or white chocolate for coating
  • Extra orange zest for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the heavy cream and white chocolate chips over medium heat. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth (about 3-5 minutes). Avoid boiling.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the orange zest, vanilla extract, and orange juice until fully incorporated. Let the ganache cool at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for 1-2 hours, or until firm enough to scoop and roll.
  4. Prepare your workspace by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon, scoop out portions of the ganache (about 1 inch in diameter).
  6. Roll the ganache between your palms to form smooth balls. Dust your hands with powdered sugar if the ganache is sticky.
  7. Place the rolled truffles on the prepared baking sheet, spaced apart.
  8. Refrigerate the truffles for another 30 minutes to firm up.
  9. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the orange-flavored candy coating or white chocolate (add a teaspoon of vegetable oil if using white chocolate).
  10. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  11. Remove the chilled truffles from the refrigerator. Dip each truffle into the melted coating using a fork or dipping tool, ensuring full coverage.
  12. Tap the fork on the edge of the bowl to remove excess coating.
  13. Place the coated truffles back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Optionally, garnish with extra orange zest.

Notes

  • Ensure the ganache is sufficiently chilled for easier rolling.
  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
