Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225g) pasta of your choice
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a rolling boil. Add a generous pinch of salt.
  2. Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente (8-10 minutes). Stir occasionally.
  3. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.
  4. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper, cooking until browned (5-7 minutes).
  5. Carefully drain excess fat from the skillet.
  6. Lower heat to medium, add chopped onion, and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  7. Add unsalted butter to the skillet and let it melt, stirring to combine.
  8. Pour in heavy cream and beef broth, stirring well. Bring to a gentle simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  9. Stir in Italian seasoning and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  10. Gradually add grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and creamy. Add reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
  11. Add drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat well. Adjust sauce thickness with reserved pasta water if necessary.
  12. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  13. Serve the creamy beef pasta into bowls or plates.
  14. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
  15. Serve immediately while hot.
