- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a rolling boil. Add a generous pinch of salt.
- Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente (8-10 minutes). Stir occasionally.
- Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper, cooking until browned (5-7 minutes).
- Carefully drain excess fat from the skillet.
- Lower heat to medium, add chopped onion, and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Add unsalted butter to the skillet and let it melt, stirring to combine.
- Pour in heavy cream and beef broth, stirring well. Bring to a gentle simmer for 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in Italian seasoning and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Gradually add grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and creamy. Add reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
- Add drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat well. Adjust sauce thickness with reserved pasta water if necessary.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve the creamy beef pasta into bowls or plates.
- Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
- Serve immediately while hot.
