Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add chicken breasts to the skillet and sear for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Check for doneness by cutting into the thickest part; juices should run clear.
- Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate and cover loosely with aluminum foil to keep warm.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden.
- Pour in heavy cream, stirring to combine with the garlic. Allow to simmer gently.
- Gradually whisk in grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Place the seared chicken back into the skillet, spooning sauce over it. Let simmer for 3-5 minutes to absorb flavors.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley. Serve with your choice of sides.
