Description

These Crispy Pizza Chips are a fun and tasty snack that combines the flavors of pizza in a crunchy form. Made from seasoned pizza dough and topped with melted cheese, they are perfect for parties or casual snacking. Easy to prepare and highly addictive, serve them with marinara sauce for dipping!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (or pizza sauce)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle or circle, about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Cut the rolled-out dough into small squares or triangles, about 2 inches in size.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, dried oregano, dried basil, red pepper flakes (if using), and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  5. Place the cut dough pieces in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the seasoning mixture over the dough and toss gently until evenly coated.
  6. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and spread the seasoned dough pieces in a single layer, ensuring they don’t overlap.
  7. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese generously over the top of the dough pieces.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the chips cool for a few minutes to crisp up.
  10. Pour marinara or pizza sauce into a small bowl, optionally adding Italian herbs or red pepper flakes.
  11. Transfer the cooled chips to a serving platter and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
  12. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
