  • Author: Lily author
  • Total Time: 1 hour 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Description

Pineapple Cowboy Candy Chicken Wings are tender, juicy wings coated in a sweet and spicy glaze that balances pineapple’s tropical tang with jalapeño heat. Perfect for game day or a delicious weeknight dinner, these wings will impress everyone at your table!

Ingredients

  • Chicken Wings
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Candied Jalapeños
  • Brown Sugar
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with pineapple juice, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight for the best flavor.
  2. If you’re using candied jalapeños, chop them into small pieces. If you’re making them from scratch, slice fresh jalapeños and cook them with sugar and water until syrupy.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  4. Remove the wings from the marinade. Place them on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle with a little vegetable oil and sprinkle with additional salt and pepper if desired.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
  6. In a small saucepan, combine the remaining marinade and cooked jalapeños. Bring to a simmer, then cook for about 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
  7. Once the wings are baked, remove them from the oven and brush them generously with the pineapple jalapeño sauce. Return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes to allow the glaze to set.
  8. Once done, take them out and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot, garnished with extra jalapeños if desired.
