Ingredients

Scale

For the Garlic Butter Sausage Bites:

  • 1 lb smoked sausage (garlic or kielbasa), sliced into rounds

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

For the Creamy Parmesan Pasta:

  • 8 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or tortellini)

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Cook pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain.

  • Sear sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook sausage slices until golden on both sides (5–6 minutes).

  • Add garlic butter: Lower heat, add butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

  • Make Parmesan sauce: In the pasta pot or a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in cream, then add Parmesan. Whisk until smooth. Season to taste.

  • Combine: Add drained pasta to the Parmesan sauce. Toss until fully coated. Plate with garlic butter sausage bites on top or mixed in.

  • Finish: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm!

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the creamiest sauce.

  • For extra veggies, toss in spinach, peas, or sun-dried tomatoes.

  • Swap in chicken sausage or turkey sausage for a lighter option.

  • Want more heat? Add extra red pepper or a drizzle of hot sauce at the end.

  • Works great with tortellini too for a fun twist!
