  • 1 head of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 ounces prosciutto, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Crackers or sliced baguette (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice off the top of the head of garlic to expose the cloves.
  3. Drizzle the exposed garlic with olive oil.
  4. Wrap the garlic head in aluminum foil tightly.
  5. Place on a baking sheet and roast for 30-35 minutes until soft and golden brown.
  6. Let cool, then squeeze the roasted garlic cloves into a bowl to form a creamy paste.
  7. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream. Blend until smooth.
  8. Add the roasted garlic paste and mix well.
  9. Fold in the grated Parmesan cheese until evenly distributed.
  10. Gently fold in the chopped prosciutto.
  11. Add the chopped fresh rosemary and thyme, stirring to combine.
  12. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  13. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer to a serving dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  14. Stir the dip before serving to restore its creamy consistency.
  15. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh parsley.
  16. Serve with crackers, sliced baguette, or fresh vegetables.
