Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g Feldsalat (Lamb's Lettuce)
  • 1 cup raw Walnuts
  • 150g Feta Cheese, crumbled
  • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Honey or Maple Syrup
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together 3 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar, and 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard. Add 1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup, salt, and pepper to taste. Set this aside to let the flavors meld.
  2. Rinse the Feldsalat under cold water to remove any dirt. Spin it in a salad spinner or pat it dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  3. In a dry skillet over medium heat, add 1 cup of walnuts. Toast them for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until they are golden and fragrant. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning!
  4. In a large salad bowl, add the washed Feldsalat, the toasted walnuts, and 150g of crumbled feta cheese.
  5. Drizzle the dressing over the salad just before serving. Toss gently to combine, ensuring all the ingredients are coated.
  6. Plate the salad and serve immediately. Enjoy the delightful crunch of the walnuts and the creamy feta with each bite!
