  • Author: Lily
  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 2 cups 1x

Description

Enjoy a creamy and tangy whipped feta dip made with crumbled feta, cream cheese, and Greek yogurt, blended with garlic and fresh herbs. Perfect for snacking or entertaining, this dip pairs well with vegetables, pita chips, or crackers. Make it ahead of time for a convenient and delicious treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed is best)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or dill) for garnish
  • Vegetables, pita chips, or crackers for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, add the crumbled feta cheese and softened cream cheese. Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat the cheeses together on medium speed until they are well combined and creamy (about 1-2 minutes). If you don’t have a mixer, you can use a fork to mash them together.
  2. Add the Greek yogurt to the cheese mixture and mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Slowly drizzle in the extra virgin olive oil while continuing to mix. Scrape down the sides of the bowl to ensure everything is mixed evenly.
  4. Squeeze in the fresh lemon juice, add the minced garlic, and sprinkle in the dried oregano. Mix until well combined. Taste and adjust salt and pepper as needed.
  5. If the dip is too thick, add a little more olive oil or a splash of water until you reach your desired creaminess.
  6. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, cover with plastic wrap or a lid, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or longer for enhanced flavors).
  7. Before serving, garnish with fresh herbs and drizzle with extra olive oil if desired. Serve with an assortment of dippers like fresh vegetables, pita chips, or crackers.
