  • Author: Lily

  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Crispy Garlic Parmesan Fries are a healthier air-fried alternative to traditional fries, seasoned with garlic, smoked paprika, and topped with grated Parmesan cheese. Perfect as a side dish or snack, these fries are easy to make and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Wash the russet potatoes thoroughly under cold water. Peel them if desired for a classic fry experience.
  2. Cut the potatoes into even-sized fries, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Soak the cut fries in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  4. Drain and pat the fries dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  5. In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, drizzle olive oil over the dried fries and toss to coat. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the fries and toss again.
  7. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  8. Place the seasoned fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
  9. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  10. Once cooked, transfer the fries to a mixing bowl and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over them while still hot. Toss gently.
  11. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the fries for added color and flavor.
  12. Enjoy the fries fresh out of the air fryer with your favorite dipping sauces.
  13. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes.

Notes

  • Feel free to experiment with different seasonings to customize the flavor of your fries.
  • For a thicker fry, cut the potatoes into wedges instead of strips.
