Christmas Puff Pastry Pizza Squares

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry sheets: Store-bought thawed according to package instructions.
  • Tomato sauce: A good-quality marinara or pizza sauce works best.
  • Mozzarella cheese: Grated or fresh depending on your preference.
  • Italian herbs: A mix of oregano basil, and thyme.
  • Pepperoni slices: Mini pepperoni work perfectly but regular slices can be cut to size.

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat Oven
Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into equal-sized squares (about 3×3 inches works well for appetizers).
Using a spoon, spread a thin layer of tomato sauce onto each square, leaving a small border around the edges.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce, then add a light sprinkle of Italian herbs. Finish with a slice of pepperoni on top.
Transfer the squares to the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
